Reset Day 10

I’m sure you’re all on-edge to find out the startling conclusion to my 10 day Reset! Well, you’re going to have to wait a little longer because the challenge isn’t over yet, even though the Reset is.

The final weigh-in will be on April 1st, so I’ll give the deets then and also reveal my starting weight and inches. This WILL be the last Reset post.

My overall thoughts of the program? I think the 5-day Reset is an EXCELLENT way to kick start a healthier lifestyle or to get yourself to start exercising. For a lot of people that are intent on losing weight, there’s always some reason to delay it. “I don’t feel well today”, “I’ll go to the gym tomorrow, it’s right there!”, “One more day of eating like this and I swear I’ll stop”, “Once I finish eating all the food I have, I’ll start buying healthier stuff.” The reasons are endless. I’ve made a lot of excuses myself. It just never felt like the right time.

But with Reset in the context of this challenge, I was finally able to start! No more waiting. The sooner I started this, the sooner I can start losing fat which is really what happened. The Reset program by itself is wonderful with all its great benefits. What’s even better is if you get the 4-pack. Get together with 3 of your friends and commit to this! Turn it into a challenge amoungst yourselves and have a prize at the end if you want to. When you buy the 4-pack, you each end up paying less for the Reset too. It comes out to about $20/day which includes 3 meals, 2 snack bars, and 2 healthpaks. You’ll also have the support of your friends and you’ll be more accountable for your actions.

Before I did Reset, I was always curious as to whether it would work for me or not. I’m not overweight so I didn’t think I wanted to lose that much weight. My main concern has always been the extra bits of fat that I find unflattering on myself. I have exercised before but never really saw much of a difference physically. That’s when I learned that fitness is more than just exercising, it’s about eating right too. The Reset gave me an opportunity to do both and the results are pleasing.

I now feel more willing to go to the gym than I used to and more inclined to make healthy choices when I eat. It really changes your perspective and after seeing a difference in just 5 days, it makes you want to keep it up. As a result, I’m going to keep going to the gym at least once a day or every other day. I only ever spend 30 mins there with 20 mins on the elliptical and a bit of weight training. You don’t need a complicated work out or a specialty class or fancy equipment. You just need the determination to change for the better.

I honestly don’t even care about the prize or winning the challenge anymore because I’ve already gained something. Sounds cheesy but it’s true. Reset has given me more than just good nutrition and vitamins. It’s led me down a healthier path. I can’t wait to see where it’ll take me!
