Reset Day 5

We have finally come to the end of the Reset program. But we all know it’s not the end for me!

On Day 1, I was thinking that maybe it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be because I’m not used to exercising every day. On Day 2, I realized how much I missed food. Now on Day 5, the program doesn’t seem that long after all! I mean it’s ONLY 5 days. I’ll be taking a break tomorrow to attend an all-day volunteer training where they’ll be providing food. Don’t want to be a snob and say, “No food for me, I’m on a diet!”

So what have I been drinking my shakes in? In the extremely convenient Blender Bottle!

Except mine is blue and has the USANA logo on it. The metal spiral thing is what blends it and it’s great! Don’t need a blender, or a really long spoon to mix it up. My mom likes to melt it with some hot water before adding luke warm water. I love my shakes cold so I fill it with water first, then the powder and anything else I want to add to taste, drop the ball in, close up and shake it up! To prevent the powder from sticking to the top opening, shake it in a circular motion before shaking it vigorously up and down.

For the first time since I started Reset, I’ve stayed in the gym for at least 30 minutes. 20 mins on the elliptical as usual. Then some ab, gluts and strength training for my arms before finishing it off with a brisk walk on the treadmill for 10 minutes. I always like that cool-off walk. I should do it more.

Extra foods
No blueberries today, what a shock! Had myself a medium-size pear and a cup of edamame. Edamame are probably my favourite peas. Actually….I think it’s the only pea I really like. When I was still a student, I bought bags of frozen edamame already out of their pods and that would be my veggie source. Look up their many benefits! And don’t knock frozen veggies. It has a bad rep but it’s actually able to hold onto the nutrients really well.

Extra activities
Nothing today….I think I’ll just scrap this for my next 5 days, unless something special comes up.

I’ve noticed that my lower back fat is reducing! I now have that nice back curve back, hooray! I mean, that back curve really defines your silhouette. If you have an hourglass figure like mine, it actually makes you look even better because even though your waist may not be slimming, you look slimmer!

Why do people keep cooking around me? It’s hard enough that I see foods I can’t eat, I have to smell them too. But of course, I’m making this out to be worse than it is. I do wish I could mix up my Nutrimeal flavours, but don’t want to mess up the balance of what’s in the Nutrimeal since I’m in a COMPETITION.

I think I failed to mention that not only is our group challenging ourselves, we’re also competing against each other. The person who loses the most weight/inches will be given a grand prize at our weigh-in on Apr.1. There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Even after doing my Reset twice, I’m going to keep up with daily exercise and replacing at least one meal with Nutrimeal so I can secure those top spots. I’m not the competitive type, but when I get thrust into one, I get serious!
